The founder of the all-Ukrainian charity Foundation “Initiative for the future” Igor Yankovskiy and his wife, Svitlana Sukhina, visited the African Republic of Cote d’ivoire, in the framework of international cooperation development and partnership building. The population of the Republic has a population of almost 22.5 million people – is home to more than 60 ethnic groups. In ivory coast is very well developed agriculture, and the Republic is a major producer of cocoa and coffee (first and third place in the world, respectively). But along with the strengths, the state has no investment in education, and there is an unstable economic situation.

During the working visit a meeting was held with Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, First Lady of the Republic, wife of President of ivory coast Ouattara Alassane. The audience was held in a relaxed friendly atmosphere; Igor Yankovsky and Svitlana Sukhina discussed the issues of cooperation in the humanitarian and social spheres, as well as shared their plans with Mrs. Ouattara. During the conversation both parties agreed to the business arrangements which would further support African countries, in particular, vulnerable sections of the population. Dominique Ouattara has long taken an active part in solving humanitarian issues. In 1998 she became the founder and head of the Foundation children of Africa, through which implemented several projects in côte d’ivoire, including: campaigning in support of child immunization, school construction and maintenance of street children and others.
In addition, Igor Yankovsky with his wife met with Ann Ulato – Minister of family Affairs of the Republic of Cote d’ivoire. The Minister stressed the importance of this meeting and assured the determination of the intentions of the President to turn ivory coast into a prosperous and developing country, which will be open for investors and for people who appreciate the solidarity in their activities. Minister Ann Waltho thanked the spouses Jankowski for their interest in vulnerable African Republic: “We are grateful to you for your initiative, indicating the understanding of the meaning of solidarity. We really need and appreciate your support, which is aimed at improving the welfare of the most vulnerable categories of the population of our state.”
The visit of the Ukrainian philanthropist and successful businessman Igor Yankovsky with his wife to the Republic of Cote d’ivoire, attracted the attention of local media. On the meeting of the Ukrainian delegation and top officials of the African Republic published an article in capital newspaper “Fratemite Matin”.
